Beginning Encaustic Workshop

Workshops are held in my basement studio

Each class will take place from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

The cost for the class is $175.

All materials are provided

In this class, I will talk a little bit about the history of Encaustic and how it is made. I will give demos on priming the surface and fusing your wax. I will also show you how to scrape, incise, apply transfer, stencils and collage into your artwork. New to this class, I will demonstrate different ways to use alcohol inks with encaustic including tinting shellac and making a simple shellac burn.

You will be provided with 4-6 wood substrates of various sizes to work on.
